I am elated to share that a newly commissioned piece “Time, Colored” is now installed in the main lobby of the UCSF Bayfront Medical Building in San Francisco. It consists of 365 uniquely blended colors, one for each day in the course of a year. The passage of time naturally shifts the color nuances. Responding to color’s ability to prompt a mood, thought, feeling, or memory, I also attributed a set of words to characterize each tint. These words are simply my personal associations, yet they can also be read together as a long, ongoing “poem” that cycles through time.
